Once known as The Flower Town of Canada thanks to a large greenhouse industry, Brampton is a city within Southern Ontario that plays home to a population of over 500 000 residents. Named for a market town in England, it has experienced several large population booms and plenty of urban sprawl over the last 20 years as development has continued north of the Caledonian border.

Now the youngest community in the Greater Toronto Area, it is an area of high population growth, especially among recent immigrants to the country. English is now the mother tongue of only about half of the population of Brampton, while the next commonly spoken language is Punjabi at about 18%.

A large reason for the relative youth of Brampton’s residents is the presence of multiple post-secondary institutions within city borders. Both Sheridan College – a business focused Ontario College – and Algoma University have campuses located with Brampton, and together they attract many thousands of students to the area each year.

Thanks to its proximity to Toronto, the international airport, and several major highways, Brampton continues to experience significant economic growth with several multi-national corporations establishing corporate or national headquarters within the city.

However, not all industries have fully branched out into this area, and residents of Brampton know some things are better in the big city. One of those things is top-quality cosmetic rhinoplasty procedures performed by experienced and talented surgeons.
