Meet Dr. Phillip Solomon
Dr. Philip Solomon is one of Toronto’s most prominent facial surgeons, specializing in Rhinoplasty for nearly two decades. As a Rhinoplasty specialist, he understands the challenges his patients face and the importance of helping them feel more comfortable with the person they see in the mirror. This delicate procedure requires an experienced surgeon who can alter the appearance of your nose to get the right size and shape to suit your face. As a certified surgeon in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Solomon is a trusted surgeon. He also enjoys the elite designation under the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, an honour he shares with few plastic surgeons in Ontario. What is Rhinoplasty Surgery?
Rhinoplasty, also known as a “nose job,” is a top-requested cosmetic procedure that improves your nose shape and/or size to create a more pleasing appearance. The process is based on your best vision of yourself. Dr. Solomon helps guide you and advise you on the shape and size that will be the most flattering to your face. For example, you might want to smooth out a bump, have a narrower tip, or reduce the size of a nose you feel is too prominent. Rhinoplasty aims to create balance and bring out your best features. If you are suffering from low self-esteem, rhinoplasty can be a life-changing experience that dramatically improves your self-image.How is Rhinoplasty Performed?
There are two types of nose jobs:- Open nose job: Incisions are made in the vertical strip of skin that separates the nostrils to access the underlying structures of the nose. From there, the surgeon can perform the outlined procedure, such as reshaping.
- Closed nose job: Incisions are made from within the nose to expose the bone and cartilage, allowing removal, reshaping or augmenting to achieve the desired new shape.
